PASCaP is based in Cape Town, in the Western Cape province of South Africa, and work stretches to the West Coast, the Karoo and also the east coast. Since the inception of the organisation in 1992, a wide range of learning progammes have been offered and over 50 after school projects have been initiated in various marginalised communities in both the urban and rural regions of the Western Cape. PASCaP's work in the Western Cape has been marked with many challenges and rewards, notably an Impumelelo Innovation Award in 1999 and a Community Chest Chairman's Award in 1998. However, the contribution towards best practice models has been significant particularly with the presentation of 3 of our pilot projects at the Challenge for Championing Change Conference in 2002. Our work have also been featured in crime prevention publications and our primary prevention model has been presented at a Northern Cape crime prevention conference in 2005. 2006 development projects in the Western Cape
